Rocky Hill is a subsection of the Bearden District in Knoxville. It’s a small community of varying sized homes and small businesses.
Many fondly remember the old Kay’s icecream shop (where Rooster’s is located now), and the Rocky Hill Elementary school May Day program (I participated and was on the Safety Patrol).
The area has become a desirable area to live because it is more affordable than most of West Knoxville, it is conveniently located, and has a lot of charm.
The Rocky Hill area should not be confused with being part of the Rocky Hill Elementary school zoning.
