DSCN2923Inskip is a great area for young families or couples who are just starting out. If you don’t want to rent this is a neighborhood where you can find a starter home to build equity – and pay less than you would renting. Likewise, if you are just moving to Knoxville this neighborhood is a good entry point, to own an inexpensive home until you decide where you want to put down more permanent roots. These homes are great to hold onto for rental properties as your own home needs change.

This Inskip Condo is currently on the market — perfect starter home or space to downsize into.

Most homes in this neighborhood were built between the 1960s and 1980s so among them you’ll find some that have a retro, Brady Bunch, ranch style vibe. There are also a fair number of Townhome and Condominiums in the area.

Inskip is a very family oriented community and residents work together through the Inskip Community Association to maintain a safe and healthy atmosphere for all. The Inskip Pool and Park and the Inskip Recreation Center are at opposite entry points to the community. You’ll easily know you are entering the Inskip Community with the new welcome signs that were recently placed.

Inskip Pool and Park is 12 acres with picnic areas, an outdoor pool and baby pool, sand volleyball courts, and tennis courts. Kids can spend the summer taking swim lessons or learning to play disc golf on the new 9 basket professional course that is free to use. The Recreation Center houses a gymnasium, game room, playing fields and a full activity schedule.

Neighborhood streets marked with painted with an “i” design lead from the elementary school to the park designating safe walking routes. One of the goals of the community association is to keep walkability in mind for residents.
