If you’ve been following our blog you’ve probably noticed that we’ve featured quite a few subdivisions in the Harding Valley area. Most recently we wrote about, Covered Bridge, Hardin Valley Woods, Reagan’s Landing and Chestnut Grove. It’s a wonderful area for sure.

Hardin Valley has more than three things going for it, but here are three of my favorite reasons to live there.

1. SchoolsHardin Valley ranked number 12 in the top 20 high schools in Tennessee according to US News & World report and Farragut High is ranked number 8. Students have the opportunity to take Advanced Placement® course work and exams.

2. It’s a family oriented community with several soccer fields, training complexes, and community ball fields. Plus there are parks, trails, and classes available at Pellissippi State Community College.

3. Convenience – Hardin Valley is convenient to Oak Ridge, I-40/ I-40 Middlebrook Pike, Pellissippi State College, The Great Smokey Mountains, Maryville and downtown Knoxville.

Here are some statistics that capture the demographic and housing market in Hardin Valley.

  • Median Age:36
  • 63% married
  • Population 18,200
  • 2.37 people per household
  • 7656 housing units
  • 248 units sold
  • Avg Sold Price: $275,792
  • Avg Square Feet: 2,537
  • Agent Days on Market: 82

You can get a glimpse of whom your neighbors from this area might be by visiting the local hangouts. Many, for example, congregate at Double Dogs to watch UT games and for some post high school game revelry.
