“Feature Neighborhood” – Holston Hills

Oct, 24 14 Post by: Amy

Holston Hills is a beautiful, well established neighborhood that was established in the 1920s. There are homes built with natural stone, and REAL stucco. Many of the original homeowners still call Holston Hills home. One of it’s original inhabitants Glenn “Papa J” Jeffries, attended UT and set a Javelin record in track that is STILL UNSURPASSED, fought in the South Pacific and just celebrated his 100th birthday!

What I like:

The Architectural Character- Built from the 20s-60s, Holston Hills has a mix of pre-Depression era estate homes, post-Depression stone cottages, and post-war ranchers. Some with river views. There is also a country club and golf course.

Large Lots: Lots tend to be on the large side, and there is no shortage of old, large trees and rolling hills.
