  1. Blackberry Farm – Who knew there was such a thing as ‘Hillbilly Luxe’? Who knew it could be so CHIC? Or that it is world renown for it’s fancy, yet country ambiance? They make the best pimento cheese, you can buy it HERE. They also have Andy Chabot, the illustrious sommelier and his genius marketer bride Sarah, that are about as brilliant and down-to-earth a couple as I have ever met.
  2. Drive-in movies – One of the last of its kind. Family friendly, good burgers & onion rings, however, if you are looking for a culinary upgrade go with Foothills Milling Company (just make sure you call a few days ahead of time for reservations, they are extremely popular.)
  3. We’re called Vols basically because no one has to twist our arms to fight particularly in the War of 1812. Which is why you will find a large statue in the middle of New Orleans paying tribute to Tennesseean Andrew Jackson. The men and women of Tennessee  have fought bravely before and every since. Shoot, the city of Knoxville is even named after President George Washington’s Secretary of WAR! But you’ll never find a more hospitable bunch of people anywhere.
